Chief Executive Officer
Duncan Orrell-Jones brings two decades of digital media and entertainment experience to Slacker Radio. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of Network Business at Nintendo of America, where he led strategy and operations for Nintendo of America's digital business. Prior to Nintendo, Orrell-Jones was Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Disney Interactive Media Group, Asia Pacific, where he led a significant expansion of Disney's business on digital platforms including the launch of a Disney-branded mobile phone service in Japan. He has also served in executive positions at Disney's Feature Animation, Disney Toon Studio, and Broadway Theatrical Productions groups.
Orrell-Jones holds an MBA from Emory University and a Bachelor of Arts in General Physics from The University of California, Los Angeles.
Vice President, Finance
Chuck Kimmel is a skilled executive with over 30 years of senior management experience in both the public and private sector. While employed at companies like Akonis Systems, NowDocs, Tivoli Industries, and AGE Logic, Chuck has gained extensive knowledge in several industries, such as network security appliances, commercial lighting, and lawn and garden power tools.
Kimmel holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Western Michigan University.
Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Engineering
Brad Kindig is a founding member of Slacker Radio and has been instrumental in building the team and technology behind the company's music services. Prior to co-founding Slacker Radio, Kindig served as the Director of Music Services Infrastructure at Yahoo! Music, which he joined as part of the company's acquisition of Musicmatch in 2004. At Musicmatch, Kindig led the backend and web services team that developed Personalized Internet Radio, On Demand Streaming, and a la carte download sales. Earlier in his career, Kindig pioneered machine learning techniques for optimizing banner ad selection and search marketing at HNC Internet Solutions (now FICO).
Kindig holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of California, San Diego.
Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development
Steve Cotter brings more than 20 years of sales and business development experience to Slacker Radio. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of OEM Sales, Business Development, and Strategic Alliances for Altec Lansing, where he helped expand the company's business from a PC audio equipment manufacturer into a leading Consumer Electronics accessory brand. Prior to Altec Lansing, Cotter was Vice President of Sales at frontpath, a SONICblue company, and Vice President of Strategic Accounts at SONICblue and Diamond Multimedia. Cotter began his career in various engineering and sales roles in the Disk Drive industry.
Cotter holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Senior Vice President, Content Licensing and Programming
Jack Isquith has nearly 15 years of experience in digital music. Isquith comes to Slacker Radio from Warner Brothers Records, where he was Senior Vice President of Digital Music and oversaw the company's digital strategy and execution. Prior to Warner Bros, he led content creation and programming as Executive Director of AOL Music and AOL Radio. Earlier in his career he served as Director of Talent and Music Industry Relations at CDNOW, where he led their efforts in ad-supported digital media.
Isquith holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from State University of New York, Albany.
Vice President, Analytics and Monetization
Robert has 20 years' experience in analytics, technology, and digital media. Prior to joining Slacker, he was the Executive Director of Advertiser Analytics at AT&T Interactive / YP where he oversaw advertiser performance management and optimization for AT&T's digital yellow page business. Before his work at AT&T, Robert held key finance and analytics roles at venture-backed start-ups Spot Runner, Razorgator, and Musicmatch, as well as at Yahoo! Music and Yahoo! Media. Robert's work in predictive analytics and models driven by big data began in the early 1990s working on supercomputer simulations of climate change at UCSD as part of a National Science Foundation grant.
Wilde holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from Harvard University and an MBA from the International University of Japan.
Vice President, Programming
Kevin Stapleford brings 25 years of radio experience to Slacker Radio. As the VP of Programming for the Noble Broadcasting Group, he oversaw the programming of 91X/San Diego and launched KNDD (The End)/Seattle. Serving as an independent consultant, Kevin has worked with every major radio group and record label, and with artists such as Beck and Nine Inch Nails. He was also the Alternative Rock editor for R&R and has led content-development efforts for Tapioca Mobile (now part of Qualcomm) and Clear Channel Entertainment (now Live Nation).
Stapleford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from University of California, San Diego.
