Blue October

Alternative rock band Blue October from Houston, Texas were formed in 1995 by vocalist and guitarist Justin Furstenfeld and keyboard player Ryan Delahoussaye. The two met while still at high school and, along with Furstenfeld's older brother Jeremy, are the only remaining original members of the group. In 1998 the band came to the attention of impresario Michael Rand, an experienced agent who had previously managed Kid Rock. Rand's agency instigated a gruelling touring calendar and the band made 350 live appearances during the early part of their career and this extensive exposure eventually led to the band being signed to Universal. The band's relationship with Universal has not always been a happy one, but it has provided them with their most significant commercial success. In 2006 the band released 'Foiled', a collection of 13 songs which included 'Hate Me', a song which, after being featured on the Jay Leno show, went on to become the band's most successful single. The band have now released nine studio albums and have had eleven top 40 singles.
