Dizzee Rascal

Born Dylan Kwabena Mills on September 18, 1984, in London, England, Dizzee Rascal emerged as a notable figure in the UK garage scene. Beginning his musical journey as an underground MC, his career took a turn when debut album, Boy In Da Corner, earned the prestigious Mercury Music Prize in 2003. Gaining acclaim from the underground, his subsequent albums, Showtime (2004) and Maths + English (2007), propelled him into the mainstream. His career surged when chart-topping singles like "Dance Wiv Me," "Bonkers," and "Holiday," earned him the BRIT Award for Best British Male Solo Artist in 2010, achieving further global recognition after teaming up with Shakira on her track "Loca." His fifth album, The Fifth (2013), boasted collaborations with notable artists, taking on production responsibilities for sixth album, Raskit. In 2020, his seventh album, E3 AF, featuring collaborations with UK grime and rap icons, reached number 13 in the UK charts with tracks like "Act Like You Know" (featuring Smoke Boys) and “Body Loose” gaining considerable traction. Dizzee Rascal returned in 2023 with singles "Sugar and Spice" (featuring iLL BLU), "Get Out the Way" (featuring BackRoad Gee), and "How Did I Get So Calm," paving the way for his eighth studio album, Don’t Take it Personal released in February 2024.
