Donell Jones

Donell Jones is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter with several hit albums since his emergence in 1994 with the song 'Think of You', which was a hit for Usher. The son of a gospel singer, he learned to play the guitar as a teenager and released his debut album 'My Heart' in 1996. It peaked at number 30 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart but his follow-up 'Where I Wanna Be' in 1999, went to number six. 'Life Goes On' (2002) reached number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and number three on the Billboard 200 and 'Journey of a Gemini' topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and peaked at number 15 on the 200. A compilation release titled 'The Best of Donell' went to number 17 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart in 2007 followed by 'Lyrics' (2010) which reached number nine and 'Forever' which went to number three on Billboard's Top R&B Albums Chart. He has had several singles on the Adult R&B Songs Chart including five in the top ten:'U Know What's Up' (2000), 'Where I Wanna Be', 'You Know That I Love You', 'I'm Gonna Be' (2006) and 'Love Like This' (2010).
