JAM Project

JAM Project are a Japanese anison band, recognized around the world for their contributions to the animé series Garo and One Punch Man. Formed in 2000 by singer Ichirou Mizuki, the band has also written original music for tokusatsu films and video games, and all of its members are well-known in the anison scene. The project made its debut in 2002 on the video game Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden with the track “Hagane no Messiah,” after which Mizuki decided to take some time off from the group. That same year, they also issued their studio debut JAM First Process, released via Victor Entertainment. With renowned anison artists Masami Okui and Hiroshi Kitadani on board, JAM Project went on to collaborate with the TV series Garo in 2005, producing the opening themes for almost all of the franchise’s iterations. The band spent the following years touring internationally and making appearances at animé conventions, dropping their second album Maximizer ~Decade of Evolution~ in 2010. They would finally achieve mainstream fame in 2015 after scoring the opening theme “THE HERO! ~Ikareru Kobushi ni Honō wo Tsukero~” for the incredibly popular animé series One Punch Man. In 2020, JAM Project celebrated 20 years of existence with the album The Age of Dragon Knights, reaching Number 40 on the Oricon charts. A year later, their single “Bloodlines ~Unmei no Kettou~” peaked at Number 43 in Japan after being featured in the animé Getter Robo Arc.
