Little Big Town

Singers Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman from Georgia began singing together in college and in 1998 they joined singer-guitarists Jimi Westbrook, who grew up in Alabama, and Phillip Sweet from Arkansas, to form Little Big Town. Since their self-titled recording debut in 2002 they have rocketed to the top of American country music with many hit albums and singles and they have won major awards as the top vocal group for several years in a row. Their 2017 release 'The Breaker' went to number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart and number four on the Billboard 200. Their single 'Better Man', written by Taylor Swift, topped the Hot Country Songs Chart and won the Grammy Award for Best Performance By a Country Duo Or Group. They were named Top Vocal Group in both the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards for 2017. With their distinctive harmonies the foursome's self-titled debut album went to number 40 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart with their follow-up 'The Road to Here' (2006) reaching number 12 and 'A Place to Land' (2007) peaking at number ten. They toured nationally opening for Carrie Underwood and in 2009 had their first tour as headliners. Their 2010 release 'The Reason Why' topped the Country Albums Chart and went to number five on the 200 and 'Tornado' (2012) also topped the Country Chart and hit number two on the 200. 'Pain Killer' (2014) peaked at number three on the Country Chart and number seven on the 200. They have had 27 singles on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart with ten top 20 hits and two number ones including 'Girl Crush' (2015) and 'Better Man' (2017). They released 'Summer Fever' in 2018, charting at number 29 on the Country Airplay Chart. 'The Daughters' followed, the first single to be taken from their eighth album 'Nightfall' which was released in 2020.
