Marco Antonio Solís

Mexican singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solis is a legend in his homeland for having co-founded one of the country's best loved popular bands, Los Bukis. He formed the band with his cousin Joel Solis and together they founded a musical style which became popular throughout Latin America and sold millions of records in the process. After almost 20 years at the forefront of Mexican pop music the band split up and Marco embarked upon a solo career which has seen him receive numerous industry awards and accolades including five Latin Grammys and to honour his achievements he has been inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame. Prior to going solo Solis had already been making a name for himself as a producer and songwriter and had worked with major Latin artists such as Marisela Hernandez and Rocío Dúrcal. Outside of Latin America, he has a significant following across the world, particularly in Spain and the US and has had more than 30 hit records in Billboard's Latin Charts including numerous number ones.
