Meredith Andrews

Meredith Andrews is a worship leader and Dove Award-winning singer of contemporary Christian musician. She was born as "Meredith Frances Sooter" on January 19, 1983, in Wilson, North Carolina. After enrolling at Liberty University in Virginia, she launched her music career in 2005 with the debut album Mesmerized. Although the independently-released record failed to chart, it did attract attention from the national Christian label Word. Andrews signed with Word and released her label debut, The Invitation, in 2008. The Invitation featured three Top 40 hits on the Hot Christian Songs chart, including the Number 5 single "You're Not Alone," and received a Dove nomination for "Praise & Worship Album of the Year" at the 40th annual GMA Dove Awards. Two years later, Andrews reached Number 12 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart with her third album, As Long As It Takes. Like its predecessor, the album received a nomination for "Praise & Worship Album of the Year," which it won. Additionally, the single "How Great Is the Love" won for a Dove Award for "Worship Song of the Year." The momentum continued with Andrews' next release, Worth It All, which peaked at Number 7 on the Christian Albums chart as well as Number 144 on the Billboard 200 in 2013. Three songs from the album reached the Top 40 of the Hot Christian Songs chart, with the most successful track, "Not For a Moment (After All)," climbing to Number 15. Andrews finished the decade by releasing the full-length albums Deeper (2016), Receive Our King (2017), and Faith and Wonder (2019). Still signed to Word Music, she returned in 2021 with a Spanish-language record, Ábrenos Los Cielos.
