Mike Patton

Mike Patton is an American singer-songwriter and musician from California known best as the lead singer of the alternative metal band Faith No More, which formed in 1988 and disbanded ten years later. Known for his six-octave vocal range, Patton also pursued a solo career and was associated with Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Tomahawk, The Nevermen, Peeping Tom and The Dillinger Escape Plan. He formed his own record label Ipecac and worked extensively in film, television and video games, collaborating with classical ensembles and orchestras. He released several avant-garde and experimental recordings including his solo debut 'Adult Themes for Voice' (1996) and 'Pranzo Oltranzista' (1997) and 'Romances' (2004) with Norwegian composer Kaada. His 2002 EP 'Irony Is a Dead Scene' with Dillinger Escape Plan went to number 16 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and number 19 on the Independent Albums Chart. 'Mondo Cane' (2010) with Orchestra Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini conducted by All Sisillo reached number two on Billboard's Classical Albums Chart, number seven on the Heatseekers Chart and number 41 on the Independent Chart. 'Luciano Berio: Laborintus II' (2012) with Ictus Ensemble from Belgium the Nederlands Kamerkoor peaked at number 23 on the Classical Chart. Many of his tracks, with Faith No More and others, have featured in films such as 'Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey' (1991), 'Judgment Night' (1993) and 'Black Hawk Down' (2001), TV shows 'The Word' (1992), 'Homicide: Life On the Street' (1997) and 'One Night Stand' (2010), and video games 'Tony Hawk's Underground 2' (2004), 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' (2004) and 'Rock Band' (2007). Films for which he has scored soundtracks include 'Crank: High Voltage' (2009), 'The Solitude of Prime Numbers' (2011), 'The Place Beyond the Pines' (2013) and '1922' (2018). He had shows in San Francisco in 2018 and also appeared at venues in Chile and Argentina.
