Nick Cave

Nick Cave is renowned as a vocalist, guitarist, drummer, composer, actor, artist, screenwriter and author as part of an expansive skill set which began in the early 1970s with the formation of The Boys Next Door, a chaotic band in the vanguard of Melbourne's post-punk scene. The Boys Next Door relocated to London, re-invented themselves as The Birthday Party and their uncompromising, sometimes violent, stage shows began to lay down the foundations for the dark, gothic reputation Cave developed over the next two decades. Sometimes referred to as the Prince of Darkness, Cave's gaunt, haunted look defined his public image. His band, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds were formed in 1984 and have released 16 studio albums. The Bad Seeds have been a constant during Cave's varied career and he continues to tour and record with them alongside his many other artistic projects. He is a recipient of numerous industry awards including an Ivor Novello Best Album Award for his 2013 release 'Push the Sky Away'. Cave has become increasingly in demand for his work on film and TV scores and among his many film soundtrack credits is the music for the popular British TV series 'Peaky Blinders'.
