Scars on 45

Prior to forming the British pop/rock band Scars on 45 in 2007, frontman Danny Bemrose and bassist Stuart Nichols played football for rival teams in West Yorkshire. Joined by keyboardist David Nowakowski, harmony vocalist Aimee Driver, and drummer Chris Durling, the musicians built a following in their local Bradford before attracting a wider audience in 2009, when their song "Beauty's Running Wild" appeared in an episode of the American television show CSI: New York. Scars on 45 subsequently signed with Chop Shop Records and released the debut EP Give Me Something in 2011. The EP's title track became a Top 5 hit on the Adult Alternative chart in America, paving the way for a second EP, Heart on Fire, which arrived later that same year. Tracks from both records appeared in TV shows like Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill, and several were reissued on the band's full-length debut, Scars on 45, in 2012. Following a string of international tour dates, the band returned in 2014 with Safety In Numbers, which marked Scars on 45's first release for Nettwerk Music Group. The album debuted at Number 12 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and produced a pair of Triple A singles, including the Number 12 hit "Crazy For You." Following 2018's Satellite Town, Scars on 45 spent several years releasing standalone singles and compilations, including 2019's Rarities - EP 1 and the 2020 holiday single "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
