Seal

The son of a Nigerian father and a Brazilian mother, Londoner Seal rocketed to fame as the soulful singer on the smash hit Killer by producer Adamski in 1990. He'd previously cut his teeth singing with funk band Push, later performing with a blues band in Thailand and travelling alone through India before returning to London and meeting Adamski. The success of Killer resulted in his self-titled 1991 debut solo album, produced by Trevor Horn, and the single Crazy, which made him a star in America. It laid the groundwork for his long and successful career, proving himself one of the most naturally gifted singers of his generation; winning a Grammy for Kiss From A Rose, a track from his second album that was later prominently featured in the Batman Forever movie. Marriage to top German model Heidi Klum maintained a high profile as he went on to enjoy further success with the albums System and Soul.
