Stars Go Dim

Born as a side project of the Christian rock band Pillar, Stars Go Dim formed in 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group, which initially consisted of lead singer Chris Cleveland and Pillar members Joey Avalos and Lester Estelle II, independently released their eponymous debut EP in 2008 and soon found themselves opening for established acts such as Switchfoot, The Fray, Daughtry, and Graham Colton. Their full-length debut, Love Gone Mad, appeared the following year. The band issued another EP, 2011's Between Here and Now, before striking a deal with Christian label Fervent Records. Released in 2015, their self-titled major-label debut cracked the Top 5 of the Top Heatseekers chart on the back of the single "You Are Loved," which topped the Christian Airplay chart in the US. They followed this success with the EPs Better and Christmas Is Here, both issued in 2018. A second studio album titled Better saw the light in 2019 through Word/Curb and was followed by 2022's Grace in the Wilderness, whose lead single "Authority (In the Name of Jesus)" peaked at Number 46 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart.
