Superdrag

Superdrag is an alternative rock band from Tennessee who formed in the early 1990s and found success with the hit single 'Sucked Off' in 1996 and several albums. Made up originally of singer-songwriter John Davis, guitarist Brandon Fisher, drummer Don Coffee Jr. and bassist Tom Pappas, the band has taken on different players, including Sam Powers on bass, and disbanded for several years before reuniting in 2007. Their debut album, 'Regretfully Yours', came out in 1996 with their only hit single followed in 1998 by 'Head Trip in Every Key'. The album produced no singles of note and neither did 'In the Valley of Dying Stars' in 2000 or 'Last Call for Vitriol' in 2002, and the band decided to take a break. Following the hiatus, they reformed for several concerts in 2007 and an album, 'Industry Giants', in 2009. Band members have pursued solo careers and linked with other groups; Davis and Fisher joined an outfit called the Lees of Memory who released the album 'Sisyphus Says' in 2014. Several early Superdrag albums have been re-issued on vinyl including 'Head Trip in Every Way', which brought about renewed acclaim for the band and its place amongst power pop stars.
