Tessanne Chin is a Jamaican singer who came to fame in 2013 as the winner of the fifth season of the US version of the 'The Voice' reality TV talent show. Prior to her appearance on the show she sang with local band Mile High, and was a successful solo artist in her home country, and with airplay in New York. She toured with reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, and released a solo downloadable LP in 2010. However, it was her 2013 win that catapulted her to wider fame. She capitalised on this, releasing one further studio LP in 2014 and a number of singles, with her most recent release, 'Fire', coming out in 2015 without an album to support. In October 2019 she announced she was pregnant with her first daughter.
