Teyana Taylor

Teyana Taylor (December 10, 1990) is an American singer, choreographer, and actress. In 2007, she signed her first recording contract with Pharrell Williams' Star Trak Entertainment, where she released her debut single "Google Me" (2008) and later came out with a mixtape named From a Planet Called Harlem (2009). After making her acting debut on the Rob Hardy-directed drama Stomp the Yard: Homecoming and landing a couple of guest spots on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010), Taylor left Star Trak Entertainment and joined the Chicago rapper's G.O.O.D Music imprint in late 2012. Released in 2014, her first studio full-length VII debuted at Number 19 on the Billboard 200. Following a brief hiatus from her recording career, during which she devoted herself to acting and raising her first child, Teyana Taylor returned in full force with 2018's K.T.S.E. Executive produced by Kanye West, the album cracked the Top 10 of the US R&B charts and featured cameos from Ty Dolla $ign and Mykki Blanco. Preceded by the 2019 Kehlani collaboration "Morning," her third LP The Album appeared in 2020 and climbed to Number 8 on the Billboard 200. That same year, the R&B singer announced her retirement from the music industry.
