The Ramona Flowers

Named after a character from the popular comic book and cult film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Ramona Flowers is a British rock band that formed in 2010 in Bristol, England. Singer Steve Bird, guitarist Sam James, bassist Wayne Jones, keyboardist/guitarist Dave Betts, and drummer Ed Gallmore played local shows for several years, developing a sound that matched electronic textures with the larger-than-life, stadium-sized alternative rock of U2 and Radiohead. An offer from the independent record label Distiller Records followed, and released an EP titled Dismantle in 2012. A second EP, Lust and Lies, was released the following year, with the full-length album Dismantle and Rebuild appearing in 2014. A souped-up version of the same album was released that same year under the title Dismantle and Rebuild (Deluxe), featuring remixes not available on the original release. Part-Time Spies, Ramona Flowers' second album, was released in 2016, followed by the Magnify in EP and the Strangers album in 2018. After taking a break from the studio for several years, Ramona Flowers returned in 2021 with a six-song EP, If You Remember. The next year saw the release of yet another EP, Flowers. Hey You followed in 2023. In early 2024, Ramona Flowers earned their first hit on the American charts with "Up All Night," which featured guitar from Nile Rodgers and reached number 38 on Billboard's Top 40 Radio Alternative Songs.
