Veysel

German rapper and actor Veysel Gelin (January 3, 1984), or simply Veysel, is best known for his 2019 single “Michel Vaillant.” Taking influence from 2Pac, he wrote and released his debut track “Lieben & Hassen” (2010) shortly before receiving a prison sentence for three years. Upon his release, he put out the mixtape 43 Therapie, which charted at Number 23 on the German Albums Chart. His debut full-length album Audiovisual was released in 2014. After dissolving the record label that he formed before he went to prison, Veysel revealed a change in direction for his career as he signed up for a television acting role in the series 4 Blocks in 2017. After switching to Universal Music Group, the rapper dropped his third studio album Fuego in 2018, which went to Number 18 in Germany and contained the Top 10 singles “Habibo” and “Uff.” In 2020, Veysel released the mini-EP 4 Blocks - The Lost Songs, inspired by the TV series. Included in the EP was the single “Ohne Dich,” whose remix featuring actress Sofia Bolotina peaked at Number 19 on the German charts in 2021.
