With the General settings, you can determine the action for the following areas:
| • | Show Slacker icon in system tray |
Displays an icon in the system tray. When you right-click on the icon, you access several features. The default setting is selected.
| • | Keep the Software Player minimode on top of other windows |
If the Software Player is in minimode, then it always will be displayed on top of other applications. The default setting is selected.

Slacker will keep track of the music you play and will use that information to improve the radio stations. The information will not be given to any third parties or used for advertising. For more details, you can refer to the Slacker privacy policy. The software installation program asked you this question. So the default setting is based upon the choice you made during installation.

The Software Player can display a number of messages. Many of the messages have "don't show again" checkboxes. If you checked a box, but want to see the message again, click the Reset button. This is a global setting. Slacker will show all of the messages again.
