Review

This collection of smooth country pop points to the sources of T.G. Sheppard's popularity: his self-assured delivery, his deep country roots, and his guy-next-door appeal. Originally released in 1981, the impeccably produced I LOVE 'EM ALL is a collection of well-chosen romantic songs along the lines of the simple, sexy "Touch Me All Over Again" and "You Waltzed Yourself Right Into My Life," the latter of which comes in on just the right side of schmaltzy. "The State of Our Union" is a hymn to marital solidarity, while, in a nod to more familiar country music territory, "Party Time" is a traditional tears-in-your-beer rocker.
