Review

A 24-track collection of various tracks that Paul McCartney either covered or was influenced by, this set works just as well as a sequence without the McCartney connection. When you can hear the Coasters' "Searchin'" next to Ricky Nelson's "Lonesome Town," and then back it up with Carl Perkins' classic "Matchbox," you've got yourself a nice little chunk of modern music history, and yes, the roots of Paul McCartney, too. ~ Steve Leggett
