Biography

Part of the rise of mid-'90s soul singers who proved quite proficient at rapping as well, Alfonzo Hunter debuted in 1996 with the first release on Def Squad Records-- the label formed by Def Squad and Erick Sermon. Hunter, born in Chicago in 1973, released Blacka da Berry in October of that year. ~ John Bush
