Alphabeat

Danish pop band Alphabeat burst onto the global pop scene in 2007 with the release of their eponymous debut album. Its lead track 'Fascination' was an overnight success in the group's homeland that same year, finally taking over the airwaves in the UK and across Europe the following year before settling at number two in the charts. Their 1980s style beats and lively performances soon garnered the group a faithful band of followers and the sextet's sophomore studio album 'The Beat Is...' followed in early 2010, hinting at a turn to more dance-inspired rhythms. In 2012, they released their third studio album, 'Express Non-Stop', which included the singles 'Vacation' and 'Love Sea'. In 2013, Alphabeat went on an indefinite hiatus to focus on side and solo projects. Bramsen began recording as a solo artist and Anders SG and Anders B went on to become the production duo THANKS. After six years, Alphabeat returned with the single 'Shadows' which peaked at number 19 on the Danish Singles Chart followed by 'Don't Know What's Cool Anymore' - the title track of the album released in the same year.
