Uniting through MySpace when singer Aluna Francis begged producer George Reid to remix one of her tracks, the South London pair create slick, futuristic, dance floor soul that is equally at home in the pop charts or in hardcore dubstep clubs. The combination of studio dwelling, beat-making introvert Reid and stylish, smiley, velvet voiced diva Francis, earned the duo a nomination for the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll and their reputation grew when infectious single You Know You Like It caused a big internet buzz. The duo featured on Disclosure's Number 2 hit White Noise before debut album BodyMusic (2013) reached Number 11 in the UK charts and produced the Top 20 single Attracting Flies. Widely praised for their mix of trip hop warmth and swaggering R&B production, AlunaGeorge name check The Neptunes, Timbaland, Destiny's Child and Flying Lotus as influences, but have their own distinct brand of sophisticated, soulful, electro-pop.
