Beak

English electronic band Beak> were formed in 2009 by Portishead's keyboard player Geoff Barrow. Also involved in the project are bass player Billy Fuller, best known for his work with Robert Plant and Will Young, the London-based producer who normally records under the name Moon Gangs. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2009 and consists of a series of songs written and recorded during an intense 12-day period without any overdubbing or re-working. The result was an unusual album which defines Barrow's unconventional approach to recording music. Beak> also acted as producers on the debut album by Anika.
