Biography

This late-'80s vocal quartet took a then-novel approach, combining hip-hop fashion with a sweet sound that took its cues from such '70s groups as the Stylistics and the Chi-Lites; they even had a hit with a cover of the Chi-Lites' "Are You My Woman?" This approach was slicked up and turned to gold by such 1991 phenomenons as Boyz II Men and Another Bad Creation. ~ Dan Heilman
