Bonez MC

A superstar in German hip-hop who has proven adept at Dancehall beats as well, Bonez MC (born John Lorenz Moser in Hamburg on December 23, 1985) first gained a national profile as part of the hip-hop collective 187 Strassenbande alongside Maxwell, LX, and Gzuz as well as others. It was as part of a 187 Strassenbande mixtape that he first released material in 2006, and he dropped his solo LP, Mehr Geht Nicht, just two years later. He formed his own record label to issue the 2012 album Krampfhaft Kriminell, but also stayed true to old pals, working with Gzuz on the album High und Hungrig. He formed a successful creative partnership with Australian rapper RAF Camora, together they have won numerous German Hip-Hop Awards. Their first album together, 2016’s Palmen aus Plastik topped the German charts, and they released Palmen aus Plastik 2, in 2018, which earned the duo a second statue for Best National Group at the German Hip-Hop Awards. 2020 saw the release of his next solo album, Hollywood, as well as the single “Niemals Unter 1000”, a solo hit featuring his 187 Strassenbande cohort LX.
