Cimorelli

Composed of five siblings from the Sacramento suburb of El Dorado Hills, California, Cimorelli launched in 2007 as an a cappella vocal group. Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, Lauren, and Mike Cimorelli formed the band's original lineup, with Mike leaving the lineup after the release of group's debut EP, Hello There, in 2008. The following summer, Cimorelli began uploading a cappella covers of pop songs to the internet on a weekly basis, earning attention from Island Records in the process. The group signed with Island that year and relocated to Malibu, California, with Dani Cimorelli joining the lineup in 2010. CimFam, the siblings' first release for Island Records, was released in 2011, featuring five cover songs and one original song co-written by the sisters. The EP hit Number 9 on the US Top Heatseekers chart. Believe It, the group's 2012 release, reached Number 7 on the same chart, while 2013's Made in America charted at Number 4. Cimorelli's continued popularity on the internet helped the band win "Choice Web Star" at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, and group released the EPs Renegade and Christmas Magic in 2014 before leaving Island's lineup, moving away from California, and relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, the siblings focused on their songwriting skills, which they later showcased on Cimorelli's debut LP, Up at Night. Released in 2016, the album featured 14 original country-pop songs and peaking at Number 24 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. A second album, Alive, appeared later that year and climbed to Number 42 on the Top Christian Albums chart. The group's third release, Sad Girls Club, was issued in 2017, featuring solo performances from each band member. Two additional EPs I Love You, or Whatever and Christmas Lights, followed in 2018, with the compilation album Best of 2019 appearing one year later. Dani Cimorelli left the lineup in 2020, turning Cimorelli into a five-piece group.
