Da Band

Da Band was an American hip-hop act created by P Diddy in New York in 2002 for an MTV television series titled 'Making the Band 2'. The lineup included singers Sara Stokes and Dylan John (Dylan Dilinjah) and rappers Kevin Barnes (known as Chopper Young City), Lynese Wiley (Babs), Freddrick Watson (Freddy P) and Lloyd Mathis (Ness). Their 2003 album 'Too Hot for TV' topped Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and went to number two on the Billboard 200. The track 'Bad Boy This, Bad Boy That' went to number 13 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, number 15 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 50 on the Hot 100. 'Tonight' reached number ten on the Hot Rap Tracks chart, number 23 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 45 on the Hot 100. The group disbanded following three seasons on MTV.
