Since the release of his debut single 'Waves' in 2016 the Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has gone from success to success. 'Waves' and Lewis's four follow-up singles have all been certified multiple platinum and enjoyed chart success around the globe, but especially in the Antipodean and European markets. The singer cites the Gallagher brothers as his major songwriting influence and trace elements of Oasis can be detected in his songwriting. His material has been used extensively in the film and TV industry and can be heard in popular televison shows such as 'Suits', 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Riverdale'. Lewis was born in Sydney in 1987 and signed his first record deal with Specific Music in 2014. He landed his first major contract with Island Records in 2016 and began his meteoric rise in the music industry. With his 2018 single 'Be Alright' holding the number one spot in the Australian charts for five weeks, Lewis released his debut album, 'A Place We Knew', the following year.
