Dee Snider

Dee Snider is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who gained fame in the 1980s as lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister and he continued to perform with them on and off through to 2016. He pursued a solo career that involves recordings and concerts, appearances in American television shows and on the soundtrack of video games as well as occasional stage productions and regular stints on American radio. He was also part of band Widowmaker in the 1990s. Born in New York, he sang in choirs at church and in school and joined Twisted Sister in 1976. He released his first solo album 'Never Let the Bastards Wear You Down' in 2000 followed by 'Desperado' (2009), 'Dee Does Broadway' (2012) and 'We Are the Ones', which went to number eleven on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums Chart, number 22 on the Independent Albums Chart and number 31 on the Top Rock Albums Chart in 2016. He began hosting a syndicated radio show called 'The House of Hair' in 1997 and has had voice roles on video games such as 'Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy' and the 'SpongeBob Square Pants' TV show and movie. He appeared on the reality TV show 'Growing Up Twisted' in 2010 and performed in the show 'Rock of Ages' the same year. He released 'For the Love of Metal' in 2018 and revealed a schedule of performances which included Spain and Finland.
