Devi Sri Prasad

Film composer, playback singer, and songwriter Devi Sri Prasad - born in Vedurupaka, Andhra Pradesh, India on August 2, 1979 – is best known for his work in Telugu cinema (also known as Tollywood). The award-winning artist has also worked in Tamil cinema (Kollywood) and has released several recordings outside of the film industry. His career began in 1997 when he composed a track for the album Dance Party. It took two more years before he made his Tollywood debut when he composed the score for the 1999 film Devi. After composing the music for the 2001 film Navvuthu Bathakalira, he came to prominence with his work on the film Anandam that same year. Devi Sri Prasad also began a career as playback singer in 2001 by performing several of his own compositions in those films. He became a prolific composer and wrote music for films such as the 2002 releases Kalusukovalani, Manmadhudu, and Sontham, all of which were very successful. The year 2005 was an especially busy one with the release of 11 Tollywood and Kollywood soundtrack albums. In the first 20 years of his career, Devi Sri Prasad composed over 100 soundtracks and has been acknowledged as one of the highest paid composers in Tollywood. Devi Sri Prasad achieved success with his music for the Hindi cinema (Bollywood) film Drishyam 2 (2022), which included the hit “Sahi Galat.”
