Dillon

Originally from Brazil, singer-songwriter and musician Dillon grew up in Cologne, Germany, before eventually relocating to Berlin at the age of 18. Born Dominique Dillon de Byington on April 29, 1988, the self-taught pianist released her debut single C Unseen Sea on the Berlin label Kitty-Yo. After a collaboration with Cologne-based, electronic-pop duo COMA in 2011, Dillon would go on to release her debut album This Silence Kills, on techno-label BPitch Control, run by Berlin DJ Ellen Allien. The album was critically received, with positive reviews from the Berliner Zeitung, the BBC, and other leading media outlets. Dillon followed up the release with the 2014 record, The Unknown, an album which saw her further expand into a melancholic, electronic, folk sound. After 2016’s live recording, Live at Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Dillon released the 2017 album Kind on [PIAS] Recordings, which also featured Tocotronic’s Dirk von Lowtzow. Throughout her career, Dillon has graced the line-ups of many leading festivals including Melt!, Reeperbahn Festival, and The Great Escape, in addition to countless headline appearances across the globe.
