Drew Love

R&B artist and songwriter Andrew Neely, also known as Drew Love, was born on September 23, 1992, in San Antonio, Texas. Despite having a nomadic upbringing, he began participating in musical theatre and local talent shows at a young age, and in the fall of 2011, started releasing covers on social media under the name CL9UD, gaining recognition from DMV producer Royal and rapper Nikko Lafre. He joined Lafre's Feed The Fam Inc. label and released his first single, "SexCapades," in the winter of 2013. A self-described outcast and a chameleon, Love's musical style defied categorization, effortlessly spanning multiple genres, including R&B, pop, dance, and hip-hop, leading him to a collaboration with Dante Jones in 2015 to form popular R&B duo THEY. Their debut EP, NĂ¼ Religion, received critical acclaim, leading to further commercial success with the single "Working for It" in partnership with Zhu and Skrillex. Aside from his work with THEY., Drew Love is widely recognized for his songwriting contributions, collaborating with artists like Ty Dolla Sign, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and Jeremih. His notable credits include G-Eazy's "Love is Gone"(2017), The Chainsmokers' "Somebody" (2018), SG Lewis's "Ain't A Thing" (2018) and Louis the Child's "Free" (2020) which entered the Billboard Dance Charts at number 32.
