Heimataerde

With a musical mission statement reading "Heimatærde stand for tolerance, religious liberty and preservation of human rights", these latter day Knights Templar of the German electro-metal scene almost defy musical categorisation. Originally the brainchild of DJ Ash, Heimatærde started life as a solo recording project with the 2004 debut album I Dreamed The Night. Increasing popularity led to Ash forming a band in 2007 to perform live shows. Since then, Ash and Heimatærde have taken the concept album to a new level having released five albums all following the same theme of the travels of cursed crusader Ashlar von Megalon, a mythical character on a journey seeking redemption. With beautifully presented albums and carefully choreographed stage shows the band's marketing savvy has brought them increasing audiences and record sales. Their fourth album Mischief heralded a style change crossing over to the New German Hardness subculture bringing with it a wider audience and greater commercial success. This increase in awareness, particularly amongst Teutonic audiences, secured a new record deal with Golden Core and the release of the fifth album, Godlike.
