Higher Brothers

Formed in Chengdu, Sichuan, China in 2016, Higher Brothers is a hip-hop and trap quartet composed of members MaSiWei, DZknow, Psy.P, and Melo. Their songs are performed in Mandarin and Sichuanese and address different aspects of Chinese culture. Higher Power is one of the first Chinese hip-hop groups to achieve attention or success outside of their homeland. Their first release was the 2016 mixtape Higher Brothers which featured tracks by the group as well as solo, duo, and trio recordings with different variations of the line-up. Their official debut album, Black Cab, was released in 2017 and featured some of their best-known tracks including “Made in China”, “WeChat”, and “Black Cab”. In 2018, they released the EP Journey to the West while touring the U.S. Their second full-length album, Five Stars, was released in February 2019. At the end of the year, DZKnow – AKA KnowKnow – released the Mr. Enjoy Da Money mixtape, which featured the hit single “R&B All Night”, which featured all the members of Higher Brothers.
