Hillsong UNITED

Founded in 1998, Hillsong United is the name of a musical project formed from different groups associated with Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. The aggregation has been made up of various worship leaders, singers, and musicians from the church starting with youth pastors Phil and Lucinda Dooley. Other leaders have included Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston and Marty Sampson. Members perform at the church, on international tours, and on recordings. They have had 12 releases on Billboard's Top Christian Albums Chart and eleven on the Billboard 200. Look to You (2005) reached number 33 on the Christian Chart, United We Stand (2006) went to number 11, Zion: Acoustic Sessions (2013) and The White Album [remix project] (2016) rose to number 4 and Of Dirt and Grace: Live from the Land (2016) went to number 2. Seven of their albums have topped the Christian Chart: All of the Above (2007), _CROSS // the_EARTH: Tear Down the Walls (2009), Aftermath (2011), Live in Miami (2012), Zion (2013), Empires (2015), and Wonder (2017). Their 2021 release The People Tour: Live from Madison Square Garden (2021) – which featured the Top 40 Christian hit “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” – was followed by the album Are We There Yet? (2022), which reached number 18.
