James Torme

Jazz and pop vocalist James Tormé was born on August 13, 1973. The son of jazz vocalist and songwriter Mel Tormé and actress Janette Scott, James Tormé managed to establish a career for himself based on his critically-acclaimed live performances. After his independent releases – including the 2005 album Comin’ Home, he was honored with the Chuck Niles Jazz Music Award in 2007 and then signed with Koch Records the following year. His debut for the label was 2011’s Love for Sale, his homage to jazz, pop, and soul music. The album received positive reviews from jazz and pop critics alike.
