Jeremy Camp

Award-winning Christian singer-songwriter Jeremy Camp was born on January 12, 1978, in Lafayette, Indiana. He was taught to play guitar by his father, a pastor at Harvest Chapel. While attending Calvary Chapel Bible College in California, he was invited to join the worship team after one of the leaders heard him sing. Soon enough, he was leading worship and performing with the group all over Southern California. Burden Me, his studio debut, was released independently in 2000 and was followed by Stay (2002), Carried Me: The Worship Project (2004), and Restored (2004), all of which received gold certification by the RIAA. During that time, he was also voted ASCAP 2005 Songwriter of the Year and won a Dove Award for Male Vocalist of the Year twice in a row. In 2006, his album Beyond Measure topped the Top Christian Albums chart and spawned six back-to-back Number 1 hits on Contemporary Christian radio, including "Tonight," "What It Means," and "Let It Fade." His next full-length, 2008's Speaking Louder Than Before, also snatched the top spot on the Christian charts in the US and received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album later that year. Subsequently, chart-topping titles like Reckless (2013), I Will Follow (2015), and The Story's Not Over (2019) turned Jeremy Camp into one of the best-selling artists in the Christian music scene. I Still Believe, a film inspired by his first marriage, appeared in 2020. His thirteenth album When You Speak saw the light in 2021 and peaked at Number 2 on the US Christian music charts, largely thanks to the Top 50 single "Getting Started."
