Justin Quiles

Justin Rafael Quiles Rivera (March 29, 1990), better known as Justin Quiles, is an American reggaeton artist. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was raised in Puerto Rico but had to move back to the United States to finish high school. Inspired by his brother’s musical taste, which ranged from salsa and hip hop to iconic reggaeton artists like Tego Calderón and Don Omar, he wrote his first song at the age of 13. After graduating, Justin Quiles moved back to Puerto Rico to pursue a career in music but then relocated to Orlando, where he teamed up with producer Lelo (of Wisin & Yandel fame) to record his first single, “Algo Contigo.” In 2013, he signed with Rich Music and dropped the single “Orgullo” featuring Colombian singer J Balvin. The single became a Top 20 hit on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay chart and was followed by the collaborative single “Esta Noche” with Maluma and J Alvarez in 2014. The following year, Justin Quiles released his debut EP Carpe Diem. 2016 was a busy year for the young reggaetonero as he delivered the mixtape Imperio Nazza, the EP JQ Miliano, and his first full-length, Promesa, which debuted atop of the Latin Rhythm Albums chart propelled by the Top 10 single “Si Ella Quisiera.” Subsequently, he delved into Latin trap with the 2017 Bad Bunny collaboration “Crecía” and issued the album Realidad in 2019, entering the Top 40 in several Latin charts. In 2021, he rose to the top of the Latin Rhythm Albums chart once again with La Última Promesa, a star-studded effort featuring the likes of Daddy Yankee, Maluma, and Rauw Alejandro. “Colorín Colorado,” one of the most memorable singles from the album, made its way into the Spanish charts, bowing at Number 96.
