King Krule

Archy Marshall, widely known by his stage name King Krule, is an English singer-songwriter and musician. Born on August 24, 1994, in South London, Marshall's multifaceted music style has been described as a unique mixture of punk jazz, darkwave, trip-hop, and indie rock. He made his official debut under the moniker Zoo Kid at the age of 17, releasing the EP U.F.O.W.A.V.E. as well as the single "Out Getting Ribs" in 2010. However, it was his 2013 studio debut 6 Feet Beneath the Moon, released under the moniker King Krule, that solidified his presence in the independent music scene. The album was critically acclaimed for its raw emotion and innovative sound, reaching Number 65 on the UK charts. In 2017, his album The OOZ further elevated his status, earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize. He followed this success in 2020 with his third studio effort, Man Alive!, which peaked at Number 12 on the UK Albums Chart and elicited extensive praise from critics. Following the release of the live album You Heat Me Up, You Cool Me Down in 2021, his musical evolution continued on 2023's Space Heavy, a moody affair that found the artist expanding his sonic palette even further. Space Heavy climbed to Number 18 in the UK and charted in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, and France, where it peaked at Number 191.
