Lancey Foux

Born Lance O. Omal on 30 November 1995 in Stratford, England to parents of Ugandan descent, British rapper Lancey Foux put himself on the map with his 2022 album Life In Hell, fusing punk with trap for an edifying mix. Prior to that, he cut his teeth freestyling over YouTube beats from the comfort of his own bedroom, kicking things off in 2015 and dropping his debut album Pink that same year. He followed it up with the breakthrough single “About It," also released in 2015, which saw him interpolate Ginuwine's 1996 hit “Pony.” Several top-brass collaborations helped his star to ascend even higher: a link-up with producer Nyge on the 2017 mixtape A Day at the Nursery and the "Dyed 2WICE" single with Skepta included on 2018's Pink II project. Lancey Foux's major-label debut arrived via the Friend or Foux mixtape for Universal in 2019 with its successor coming in 2021: the FIRST DEGREE mixtape. The LIVE.EVIL follow-up was also released in 2021 and featured guest spots from Lil Yachty on "OUTTAMYMIND!" and 24kGoldn on "BIG SWAG." His sixth studio album, the 26-track opus Life in Hell, emerged in 2022, boosted by collaborations with Kaytranada ("High Grade" and "Lies Will Set You Free"), 070 Shake ("Now > Then") and Jah$tar ("Did It Again"). A new single with fellow rapper Unknown T saw the light in 2023: "Free Slime / Sexy Girls."
