Maluma

Juan Luis Londoño Arias, better known as Maluma, was born on 28 January 1994 in Medellín, Colombia. Best known for his infectious blend of Latin urban music, trap, and pop, he embarked on his musical journey recording songs at just 16. By 2012, he released his debut album, Magia. However, his meteoric rise was catalyzed by the 2015 album Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, which reached number 1 on the US Top Latin Albums chart, also obtaining platinum certification in several countries. Maluma would repeat the feat two more times with follow-up albums F.A.M.E. (2018) and 11:11 (2019), with the former winning Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards. Throughout his career, Maluma has worked with international artists like Shakira, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and The Weeknd. His tracks "Felices los 4," "Borró Cassette," and "Corazón" all have topped the Billboard Hot Latin Songs charts, and his collaborations like "Chantaje" with Shakira and "Medellín" with Madonna further solidified his global acclaim. "Hawái," the second single off of his fifth studio offering Papi Juancho, notably clinched the number 1 spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. He followed this success with an EP titled #7DJ (7 Días en Jamaica) in 2021. Don Juan, his highly anticipated sixth LP, hit the shelves in 2023 and entered the Billboard 200 at number 195.
