Mark Broom

Mark Broom, born on May 6, 1971, in the United Kingdom, is a renowned British techno DJ and music producer. His musical journey began during the Second Summer of Love in 1989, when he was exposed to Chicago house and Acid house in Tenerife, leading him to purchase his first turntables upon returning to the United Kingdom. Mark Broom, initially associated with intelligent techno, later shifted his focus to dancefloor-oriented productions. He co-founded Pure Plastic Recordings with Dave Hill, where his debut album, Angie Is A Shoplifter (1996), was released. Other notable albums include Summer of Blood (1998) with Rue East, Indoor Culture (2001), Acid House (2010), and Fünfzig (2021).
