Mark McGuinn

Mark McGuinn found fame with his first single 'Mrs Steven Rudy', a hit in 2001 that told the tale of unrequited love for the said Mrs Steven Rudy. His distinctive look of a beret teamed with a goatee beard marked him out as a different face of alternative country. He made his album debut with 'Mark McGuinn' in 2001, with 'That's a Plan' released as his second single. McGuinn was a promising soccer player before moving into music after a bad injury. His background was in jazz before he moved to Nashville to work on his songwriting. He plays the guitar, piano and trumpet. McGuinn's second album was 'One Man's Crazy', released on the independent Blue Flamingo label in 2006.
