Modern Talking

Modern Talking were a German synth-pop and dance act featuring singer Thomas Anders, songwriter, guitarist and producer Dieter Bohlen and producer and engineer Luis Rodriguez; rapper Eric Singleton joined them from 1998 to 2001. They had two stints from 1984 to 1987 and from 1998 to 2003. Several albums topped the German Albums Chart: 'The 1st Album' (1985), 'Ready for Romance' (1986), 'In the Middle of Nowhere' (1986), 'Back for Good' (1998), 'Alone' (1999) and 'Victory' (2002). Several tracks topped the German Singles Chart: 'You're My Heart, You're My Soul' (1984), 'You Can Win If You Want To' (1985), 'Cheri, Cheri Lady' (1985), 'Brother Louie' (1986) and 'Atlantis Is Calling' (1986). Their recordings sold well across Europe with 'Brother Louie' reaching number four on the UK Singles Chart. Their final album was 'Universe' in 2003 but they have featured on several compilation albums including 'Best of Modern Talking' (1998), 'The Hits' (2007) and 'Das Neue Best of Album' (2014).
