Mo-Do

Mo-Do is the stage name of Italian singer Fabio Frittelli (July 24, 1966), who had a string of German-language hits in the early 90s. In addition to his music career, he has also worked as a high fashion and runway model for Dolce & Gabanna and Versace. Born in the town of Monfalcone, he got his start in music as the bass player for the hard rock band Validi Alibi and then formed the Eurodance project Mo-Do with producer and DJ Claudio Zennaro. Inspired by both Falco's "Der Komissar" and nursery rhymes, his first single "Eins, Zwei, Polizei" (1994) took the European charts by storm, reaching Number 1 in Austria, Germany, and Italy. He followed this success with the singles "Super Gut" (1994) and "Gemma Tanzen" (1995), which failed to replicate the effect of his debut. A full-length album titled Was Ist Das? arrived later that year, followed by fourth single "Sex Bump Twist" in 1996. "Superdisco," Mo-Do's last single, appeared in 1999. He spent the next few years working as a club manager before taking his own life on February 6, 2013.
