Nicki

Discovered as a teenager at a talent competition in 1982, German pop singer Doris Hrda became better known by her stage name Nicki. She has always used the Bavarian dialect to perform, releasing nearly an album a year between 1984 and 1996. Her debut single 'Servus, Mach's Guat' in 1982 was quickly followed by her first album 'Servus Nicki' in 1983. She has enjoyed chart success with many of her albums in both Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including her second album 'Ganz oder Gar Net' (1986) which reached number 16 in the German Albums Chart, 17 in Switzerland, and number eight in Austria. The single 'Wegen Dir' reached the top 20 in the German Singles Chart (1986). Her next album 'Kleine Wunder' (1987) is her highest chart success so far, reaching number four in Germany, number 14 in Austria and number five in Switzerland. Popular single releases from this album were 'Mehr Von Dir' (1987), 'Mit Dir des Wär Mei Leben' (1987) and 'I Bin a Bayerisches Cowgirl' (1988). Nicki's next albums were 'Radio Bavaria' in 1988, 'Immer Mehr' in 1990 and 'Grenzenlos' in 1992 which all charted in Germany and produced singles including 'Samstag Nacht' and 'Wie a Traum'. There were four more album releases before the end of the 1990s, 'Tausend Fragen' (1993), 'Ois Easy - 10 Neue Country Songs' (1995), 'Herzsprünge' (1996) and 'Zurück Zu Mir' (1999). Nicki took a break from music until 2006, when she released the album 'I Gib Weider Gas' and after that, her album releases were spaced further apart, with 'Passt Scho!' (2009), 'So Wie I' (2011), and 'Herzhoamat' in 2018.
