Phantogram

The New York electro-pop duo Phantogram create music which draws from a range of influences so diverse the band cite prog-rock exponents Yes and French musician Serge Gainsbourg as being among their influences. With inspiration coming from such diametrically opposed sources the duo's distinctive blend of electro pop sounds quite unlike anything else from their genre. Previously known as Charlie Everywhere, Phantogram is the brainchild of high school friends Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel. The band have released seven EPs and three albums during their ten-year career with the EP 'Nightlife' reaching number one in the US Heat Chart. The albums 'Voices' (2014) and 'Three' (2016) both made it into the US Mainstream Chart and reached the top five in the US Alternative Chart. The band have had a busy touring schedule and have opened for acts such as Future Islands, Beach House and Brazilian Girls and have become a popular attraction on the US festival circuit with appearances at many major American Festivals including Austin City Limits, Free Press Summer Fest, Outside Lands Festival and Summerfest. They returned in March 2020 with their fourth studio album 'Ceremony'. It includes the singles 'Into Happiness', 'Mister Impossible' and 'In a Spiral' released in 2019 alongside the 2020 track 'Pedestal'.
