Safri Duo

Safri Duo are a Danish electronic rock duo formed in Copenhagen featuring percussionists Uffe Savery and Morten Friis. They have released many albums since their debut with 'Turn Up the Volume' in 1990. 'Episode II' topped the Denmark Albums Chart in 2001, '3.0' went to number two, '3.5' (2004) number six and 'Origins' (2008) number 14. They released a 'Greatest Hits' album in 2010. Their single 'Played-a-Alive (The Boongo Song)' (2000) was a hit across Europe, topping the Denmark Singles Chart and reaching number seven on Billboard's Dance Club Songs Chart. 'Fallin' High' (2003) and 'Dimitto (Let Go)' (2013) with Kato featuring Bjornskov also topped the Denmark Singles Chart. Their 2019 schedule included appearances at venues in Odense and Birkerød in Denmark.
